Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, has been a beacon of quality management education for over 23 years, having nurtured generations of business leaders since its inception in 2003. As one of the flagship programmes of BCREC, FMS has consistently combined academic excellence with industry relevance to prepare professionals capable of thriving in a dynamic global environment.
The Faculty offers the AICTE-approved MBA programme with Dual Specialization, emphasizing experiential learning, leadership development, and the integration of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Business Analytics with core human skills. Institutional Leadership & Insights
Academic Leadership
Anindya Sen holds a Ph.D. degree from the University of Southern California, USA. He was earlier a Professor at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai, India. He later joined IIM Calcutta in 1998 as Professor of Economics. At IIM Calcutta, he was Dean (Program Initiatives) during 2006-2008 and Dean (Academic) during 2012-15. As Dean (Academic) he successfully carried through the AACSB and AMBA accreditation processes and initiated the EQUIS accreditation process.
He was also Director in charge, Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi, from 2014 to 2017. He was Visiting Professor at the School of Business and Management, American University of Armenia, and at the Department of Economics, University of Notre Dame, USA. He has also taught at IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur.
After his retirement from IIMC, he acted as Pro-Vice Chancellor to set up the School of Social Sciences at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore. He has published in both Indian and international journals and contributed chapters to a number of volumes. He has also undertaken a number of consultancy projects.
