The NSS Cell of Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College (BCREC), Durgapur successfully organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 10th June 2026 at the Recreation Point of the college campus in association with The Mission Hospital, Durgapur.
The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the importance of blood donation and inspire voluntary participation in this noble cause. The event was graced by Mrs. Jayitree Sikdar Ghosh, Member, Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College Society; Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay S. Pawar, Principal; Prof. (Dr.) K. M. Hossain, Vice Principal; Prof. (Dr.) G. S. Panda, Registrar, Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College; and Dr. Ipsita Nag, Consultant, Transfusion Medicine, The Mission Hospital, Durgapur.
A remarkable 52 donors, including students and faculty members, came forward to donate blood, demonstrating their commitment to saving lives and serving society. Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay S. Pawar congratulated all the donors for their selfless contribution, while Dr. Ipsita Nag appreciated the enthusiasm, compassion, and social responsibility displayed by the participants. "Every drop counts. Every donor is a life saver. Together, we can make a difference."
