Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College (BCREC), Durgapur, successfully organized Nabinbaran 2026 – Orientation Programme to extend a heartfelt welcome to the newly admitted first-year students of the 2026–27 academic session at the Dulal Mitra Auditorium on the college campus. The programme was thoughtfully designed to introduce the freshers to the institution's academic environment, core values, state-of-the-art facilities, and the wide range of opportunities available to them, while fostering a strong sense of belonging to the BCREC family.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Satyajit Bose, President, BCREC Society; Sri Jernail Singh, Treasurer, BCREC Society; Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay S. Pawar, Principal, BCREC; Prof. (Dr.) K. M. Hossain, Vice Principal, BCREC; Prof. (Dr.) G. S. Panda, Registrar, BCREC; along with members of the BCREC Society, Heads of Departments, faculty members, staff, and students. The inaugural ceremony commenced with the traditional watering of a plant, symbolizing growth, sustainability, and the nurturing of knowledge.

In his welcome address, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay S. Pawar, Principal, BCREC, encouraged the new students to strive for academic excellence, innovation, discipline, and holistic development throughout their journey at the institution. He emphasized the college's unwavering commitment to quality education, industry-oriented learning, research, innovation, and the all-round development of its students.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Satyajit Bose, President, BCREC Society, inspired the students to embrace future challenges with confidence and determination.
